Podcast studio Brussels: 8 studios compared, prices and equipment
Prices excluding or including VAT, equipment, operator included or not: eight Brussels podcast studios compared, so you can pick the right one without opening ten tabs.
You have the topic, your guest said yes, the date is set. All you need now is a place. You type "podcast studio Brussels" and open ten tabs. The first one shows an hourly price excluding VAT, the second a price per session without saying how long it lasts, the third shows no price at all and offers a discovery call. An hour later, you still don't know whether €140 is expensive.
We did the work once and for all. Here are eight podcast studios in Brussels, with their prices, their equipment and what is actually included, taken from their websites on November 2, 2026. Prices change: always check the studio's page before you book.
How much does a podcast studio cost in Brussels?
Brussels prices fall into three groups, and the difference almost always comes down to one question: does someone from the studio stay with you during the recording?
- Self-service studio: you arrive, plug in and record on your own. Expect €18 to €55/h, sometimes with a two-hour minimum.
- Studio with an operator: someone runs the cameras and the sound, and you leave with the raw footage. Expect €130 to €140/h.
- Half-day or full-day package: studio time, a technician and sometimes editing. Expect €195 to €450 for half a day, €750 to €950 for a full day.
Editing is almost always extra. Depending on the studio, it starts at around €50/h, or it comes as a package (from €249 to €1,200 depending on how much support you get).
Watch out: excluding VAT, including VAT, or nothing at all
Studios don't display their prices the same way, and it's the number one trap when you compare. Some show prices excluding VAT, others including VAT, and several don't say anything.
The gap is real: VAT in Belgium is 21%. A rate of €130 excluding VAT comes to €157.30 including VAT, more than a rate of €140 including VAT that looked higher.
If you book for a VAT-registered company, you recover the VAT and the price excluding VAT is what counts. If you book as a private person, the price including VAT is what you actually pay. And when a website says nothing, ask before you book.
In the table below, we show for each studio whether the price is displayed excluding VAT, including VAT, or with no mention.

Plug The Jack: the cheapest, fully self-service
Plug The Jack is first a network of music studios, also in Liège, Antwerp and Ghent. Their Brussels podcast studio, in Woluwe-Saint-Lambert, is self-service: you book online, you get a code and you let yourself in, 7 days a week. The equipment covers a four-voice audio podcast (RØDECaster Pro, four Shure mics, Beyerdynamic headphones). It's the most affordable option if you already know how to record and don't need video.
Podlab: cheap audio, multi-camera video as an option
Podlab is located in the Teslab coworking space on Avenue Rogier, near Meiser and the Reyers media hub. Two very different setups. For audio only, you record yourself around a round table equipped for four people (a fifth mic is optional), for €50 excluding VAT for the first two hours. For audio and video, a technician runs three Blackmagic 4K cameras: €450 excluding VAT for half a day with two hours of recording, €750 excluding VAT for a full day with four hours. The studio warns about something many people only find out on the day: one hour of 4K on three cameras weighs about 1 TB. Bring a fast drive that's big enough.
WOMADE: a studio inside a coworking space, open to everyone
WOMADE is a Brussels coworking space that rents its podcast studio, the Room on Fire, to outside customers. The setup is audio-focused (RØDECaster and five mics), in a room that feels more like a lounge than a set. Expect €55/h and €195 for half a day. The coworking space moved near Place Stéphanie in 2026: check the studio's address when you book.
Le Podcast Studio: video with a camera operator in the heart of the city
On Rue du Marché aux Herbes, a short walk from the Grand-Place. Le Podcast Studio highlights more than a thousand sessions and more than a hundred Google reviews. For €130 excluding VAT an hour, you get a dedicated camera operator, a cinema camera and two Shure MV7 mics, and you leave with the raw audio and video. An eight-hour day costs €950 excluding VAT. Editing comes in two levels (simple or advanced, with subtitles and a best-of).
The Podcast Studio: a choice of sets and a monthly plan
On Boulevard Émile Jacqmain, in the city center. The Podcast Studio offers five sets (face to face, conversation, talk-show set…) and a recording with an operator, three cameras and four mics from €139 per session, with raw footage delivered within 48 hours. The Standard package at €249 adds a rough cut, and the all-inclusive package starts at €799. It's one of the few studios with a subscription: four sessions a month from €499, handy for a weekly podcast.
Studio Next Door: prices including VAT and two sets
Studio Next Door has two spaces: a clean, minimal studio in the European Quarter (up to four people) and "La Résidence", warmer (up to six people). Prices include VAT, which makes comparing easier: €140/h with an operator and three 4K cameras, €170 with mixing and a rough cut, €300 with an edit that's ready to publish.
AS Studios: from an empty studio to a guided session
In Auderghem, on Chaussée de Wavre. AS Studios rents both an empty studio, for creators who bring their own gear, and a full shoot with editing and shorts for social media. The listed equipment includes Shure SM7B mics and 4K cameras. Prices aren't published: everything goes through a quote.
Videocast: content production rather than rental
Near Square Eugène Plasky, in Schaerbeek. Videocast mostly sells packages: a two-hour discovery session with one edited video ready to publish, or a half day that produces a long episode and about ten short videos. Studio-only access is also available. No prices are published: you need to book a call.
How to choose your podcast studio
Audio only or a video podcast?
That's the first question, because it divides the budget by three. For audio interviews or a podcast published only on Spotify or Apple Podcasts, a self-service audio studio is more than enough. As soon as you publish on YouTube or want clips for social media, you need at least two cameras, and in practice an operator.
On your own or with an operator?
In self-service, you handle the levels, the headphones and the files. A badly set track shows up during editing, too late. For a first session, or if your guests aren't comfortable, having a technician is often worth the €80 difference per hour.
How many mics, how many guests?
Most Brussels podcast studios are set up for four voices. If you're hosting a panel, check the number of mics before you book: Podlab offers a fifth one as an option, WOMADE has five, and Studio Next Door lists up to six people in its larger space.
Raw footage or edited content?
"Files delivered" can mean a lot of things. Raw footage means the separate tracks from each camera and each mic, which you sync yourself. A rough cut lines them up and picks the angles. A full edit gives you an episode ready to publish. Also ask how long the studio keeps your files: seven days at some, a month at others.
If you leave with raw footage and don't want to edit it yourself, you can hand the editing to an outside team. That's what Norde does, a video agency based in Wavre: podcast and YouTube editing, short clips for social media, and filming at your place if you'd rather not record in a studio.
Acoustics and sound quality
A professional podcast studio shows first in its acoustic treatment: absorbing panels on the walls, no echo, no street noise. That's what sets the quality of the recording, far more than the price of the mics. When you visit, clap your hands: if the sound lingers in the room, your listeners will hear it too.
Access and opening hours
A studio in the city center is easy to reach by metro, but not always by car with a lot of gear. In Schaerbeek or Auderghem, parking is often easier. And if you record in the evening or on weekends, check the opening hours: not every studio is open 7 days a week.
What to prepare before the recording
An hour in the studio goes by fast. Come with a written outline, even a short one, and tell your guests what to wear (avoid thin stripes and bright white on camera). If you're leaving with the raw footage, bring a fast external drive of the right size. Finally, allow fifteen minutes for setup at the start: it almost always counts toward the time you booked.
Find a podcast studio without opening ten tabs
That's why RentASet exists, a platform built for podcasters and content creators. Instead of comparing websites that don't show their prices the same way, you filter studios by city, price and equipment (mics, cameras, mixing desk, technician on site), then book and pay online. You only pay once the studio confirms your booking.
The catalog is being built right now, one studio at a time. You can already browse the available podcast studios.
Do you run one of the studios in this article, or another studio in Brussels? Signing up is free, with no subscription and no exclusivity: you keep your prices and your current clients, and RentASet only takes a commission on bookings paid through the platform. List your studio.
FAQ
How much does it cost to rent a podcast studio in Brussels?
From €18 to €55/h self-service, from €130 to €140/h with an operator and several cameras, and from €750 to €950 for a full day with a technician. Editing is usually charged separately.
Do you need a sound engineer to record a podcast in a studio?
Not for a simple audio podcast: self-service studios are designed to be used on your own, with a mixing desk like the RØDECaster. For a video podcast or a first session, an operator avoids most setup mistakes.
Can you film your podcast in a Brussels studio?
Yes. Le Podcast Studio, The Podcast Studio, Studio Next Door, Podlab, AS Studios and Videocast all offer video recording, usually with three cameras and an operator.
How many people fit in a podcast studio?
Four people in most studios. Some go up to five or six, and Podlab can host a small audience of seven to ten people.
Are podcast studio prices shown excluding or including VAT?
It depends on the studio. Le Podcast Studio and Podlab show prices excluding VAT, Studio Next Door including VAT, and several studios don't say. Add 21% to a price excluding VAT to compare it with a price including VAT, and ask the studio when it isn't stated.
